China Made Tungsten Copper Plates

Tungsten copper plate is a composite which contains tungsten and copper. Copper is infiltrated into tungsten. Normally copper percentage varies from 10%-40%. Combining with tungsten's high hardness, high temperature resistance and copper's good thermal conductivity and excellent machinability, tungsten copper rods are widely used for different application like EDM machining, power electricity, resistance welding and plasma spray.

Tungsten Copper Plates Used for EDM

Tungsten copper plates can be used as electrodes for EDM. Among various metallic EDM electrodes, copper tungsten always come first into users' mind.

With good resistance and cutting stability, tungsten copper is very suitable for EDMing carbide parts.

We can produce tungsten copper rods, tungsten copper flats, tungsten copper sheets, tungsten copper plates, tungsten copper cubes and also fabricated parts for EDM sinker.

 

Tungsten Copper Plates Used for Resistance Welding 

We also offer tungsten copper blanks and also finished parts for resistance welding application. We produce CLASS 10 (1W3, 5W3), CLASS 11 (10W3), and CLASS 12 (30W3). Normally copper tungsten Class 10 is used as facings or inserts for projection welding electrodes and flash and butt welding dies where high electrical conductivity is desirable and a degree of malleability is necessary.

Tungsten copper class 11 is harder than class 10 for it has a higher content of tungsten. This material can be used as facing inserts for flash and butt welding dies and general purpose projection welding electrodes. Sometimes, it can also used for seam welder bearing.

Tungsten copper class 12 is mostly used for heavy duty projection welding electrodes and for die facings in electro-forming and electro-forging applications. It is suitable as die material for electrical upsetting of rivets and studs.
