1.Main components of X-ray:
· Cathode - tungsten filament (CATHODE FILAMENT) in the focusing cup;
· Anode - the anode target surface (ANODE TARGET) that rotates during X-ray exposure;
· Rotor - the device that rotates the anode.
Electrons are produced when a low voltage current is applied to the cathode, which causes the filament to heat up and create an electron cloud. A high voltage is then applied to accelerate the electrons through the tube to the anode. Collision with the anode results in the conversion of 99% of the heat and 1% of the electrons into X-rays.
2. Application fields of rotating anode X-ray tube:
According to different application fields, the applications of rotating anode X-ray tubes can be divided into two categories: industrial and medical.
